Wizard Clash Royale (Strategy)
Very popular card used in many decks in Clash Royale. Wizard attacks with splash damage. It is compared with the Musketeer because they have the same HP and both are ranged troops. However, the Wizard is arguably better than the Musketeer in most of the scenarios.
On of the best things of the Wizard is that he can clear out ground and air troops simultaneously. His damage is insane, and if you pair him with Bomber behind a tank, you will have almost guaranteed that you will hit the tower.
Place the Wizard behind a heavy tank such as Giant, Golem or PEKKA. The opponent will always try to kill your Wizard first, to counter this, just place Fire Spirits or Ice Spirit when the Wizard is crossing the bridge. If you place it on time, you will kill your Wizard's threats and you will have the whole path to the tower.
The Wizard has one of the slowest attack speeds in Clash Royale, however, it behaves like Sparky, it requires time to charge the attack. So if you place any unit near it, the Wizard will instant attack. Be careful when placing Minions and Barbarians to counter him, it's always better to use other choices, but if you don't have any other choice, place them around it, so the splash damage will not hit all of your units.
A good strategy is using it as defense and then continue with a counterpush. This leads to victory in most of the cases as you are able to place plenty of units for the push and with the Wizard behind, you will kill the swarm troops that try to kill your tank.
To counter the Wizard, Fireball it. If the Fireball is one level higher than the Wizard, you will kill it and you will get 1 elixir positive trade. Also, try to hit other troops or buildings to have even a bigger advantage. Other counters can be Mini Pekka, Valkyrie and Knight.
Best splash damage in the game after Sparky.
Great for pushes, also good against swarm troops.
Low Attack Speed (1.7 hit speed).
Can be easily countered.
